59th International Military Pilgrimage to Lourdes

Event details

  • Thursday | May 18, 2017 to Monday | May 22, 2017

The International Military Pilgrimage will take place from the 18th – 22nd of May 2017 in the town of Lourdes in Southern France. This is always a very special occasion with Armed Forces gathering annually from around the world in solidarity and peace.

While the UK contingent is organised by the Roman Catholic Military Diocese the Pilgrimage is open to people of all faiths and none. It gives a chance to pause, to pray, and to think. There is also the chance to meet and socialise with service men and women from many different countries and backgrounds, from the Irish Defence Force to the French Foreign Legion and beyond. It is also one of the only times you will ever get the chance to see Padres doing drill!

For more information check in the Lourdes section, contact your local Chaplain or the pilgrimage organiser: Fr Nick Gosnell, Cathedral of St Michael and St George, Aldershot.
